Inspiring respect, responsibility, resiliency & success.
June is here and we are busier than ever. It has been so exciting over the past couple months to see the return of many of my favorite events. We had our first in-person assembly that was hosted expertly by the grade twos. We also had the return of our Student Convention which brought with it tons of learning and laughter. This June we have many field trips booked and end of the year events that should make June an exciting month. It is crazy to think that ⅓ of our school has never really experienced a normal end of the year and we are trying our best to make up for that by cramming as many great events into June as possible.
Next year will bring a few changes to the staff at the CCS. We have hired two new teachers; Lisa Airth will be doing art and some other elementary teaching while Danielle Brachmann will be teaching grade 4. We are also excited to welcome back Shelia Petteplace to a new grade 2 role.
Next year we will be saying farewell for now to a few of our teachers. Sheila Payeur and Karen Danylchuk will be sorely missed as they both take a year leave, while Sarah Odenbach has accepted her dream position at Harry Balfour. We want to wish everyone the best of luck and know that CCS will always consider you to be a part of our Kodiak family.
In closing I hope you all have a great summer and who knows, maybe a Stanley Cup celebration for one of our Alberta teams. Take care!
