New Raise Craze Challenge: #KAESkindness
A Successful Grandparents Day
Determined Cycling Tour Scheduled to Reach Keene, TX Next Week

Bright Hand Bright Future
There is no better time to focus on the basics of handwashing than right now. On Sept. 23 that is exactly what we will do and in the most fun way possible. KAES is partnering with Prospera Panama to prevent sickness. Prospera Panama is a not for profit organization that collects soap and repurposes it for families in rural Panama. Our elementary students will write on banners, play in bubbles, meet Prosperas soap mascot and learn important handwashing skills. Students will get wet on this day and will most likely still be wet at pick up.

There is still time to join the Craze! Sign Up Today!
Students have had fun collecting their kindness brag tags and some have purposed themselves to collect all 10 of our memory verse "On the Spot" brag tags. For those of you who are looking for a new challenge, keep reading.
A Fundraiser We Can Be Proud Of!
Raise Craze is an online platform enabling students to set up secure, custom websites where they request donations via email. During the fundraiser, students pay it forward by completing Acts of Kindness for others.
Here’s How It Works
REGISTER We’ll provide a link for you to register and create your child’s website.
ACTS OF KINDNESS Students select at least 3 ways to pay it forward.
ENTER EMAILS Students enter email addresses of friends and family.
Raise Craze will take it from there sending all emails, reminders, and thank you’s.
Students can spend time serving instead of selling! Have fun spreading kindness!

Prayer Please
Please pray for Lois Mikesell. Lois quarantined herself a little less than two weeks ago when she knew she had been exposed to Covid-19. Unfortunately, she did get the virus and is currently in the hospital receiving oxygen. She has had two better days but still needs our support. Prayers make a difference so please take a moment and pray for Lois today.

#kaeskindness
I love seeing kindness spread by our students. Found out that after the game last night our Lady Eagles Volleyball saw one of the referees heading to his car and the whole team stopped to share their appreciation. At the end of the whole event they took this picture. Sharing kindness is sharing Jesus. It was also reported that as he left he was heard saying “this made my day”. Now that's a win.

Don't Forget about our Shoe Drive: August 9 - October 8, 2021

Science Students build self watering garden boxes.
I have always dreamed of having gardens for our students to tend and learn from. This year our 8th graders worked in pairs to build a self watering garden box out of a simple tote. It is a simple yet perfect design and one that should do well with our hot temperatures in Texas. After building, each team then had to decide what winter plants they wanted to grow. It will be exciting as we see how each one does.
