Week 4 - Term 2 2022
Kia ora e te whānau,
I hope your week is going well!
We have been busy at school and many children have now finished their writing books and have started a new one. Some children took scrap books and writing books home in term one. If you could please return them it would be appreciated!
Also can everyone bring a few blue pens - we seem to have run low.
Pink shirt day was great fun. We certainly had a colourful syndicate! This week we are having assembly in the hall with Uenuku. It is the first time we have had an assembly with another syndicate for quite some time. We are planning on doing this 3 times a term.
We have quite a clothes collection in our lost property. If you are looking for something please check the clothing bin outside Room 4 or let us know and we can do it for you.
If you have any spare clothes, particularly tracksuit pants or trousers we would appreciate any donations. We also need some for kids who get wet, particularly over winter.
Next week is Sāmoan language week. We will be learning some songs and celebrating Samoan culture.
The teachers then have their lunch, unless they are on duty over lunchtime. There are always adults around but if your child is a slow eater we may not always be able to stay with them the whole time unless they have a particular health need that we have applied for teacher aide help for.
If you have any concerns though let us know and we will ensure they eat the more filling items, like sandwiches first!
Covid - Orange level expectations
We are able to have syndicate assemblies inside.
Parents are allowed onto the grounds but are asked to wear masks if they are coming into a classroom.
This week is week 4 so Rooms 2 & 4 will be going.
