Coretta Scott King
(1927-2005)
Early life
Coretta Scott King was born on April 27, 1927 in Marion Alabama. When she was a kid she was a very talented musician and was also a very talented singer.She lived on a farm in Alabama. Her parents owned some land .Her, her mother, and her sister would pick corn and other crops and feed the hogs chickens and other animals on the farm.She was in a segregated school so she had to walk 6 miles to get to school.When she was in school she was the smartest kid in her school. In high school she was valedictorian. She graduated college. She was always an all “A” student.
Civil Rights Work
She worked to pass the 1964 civil rights act. She was involved in the bus boycott 1955.She established civil rights activist along her husband . (Martin Luthern King) She was a very influential civil right activist/leader. And she traveled to Ghana to mark it for it’s nonviolent protests. And she went and did other important civil rights work.

Husband's Death
MLK was shot and killed by a sniper’s bullet the killer was James Earl Ray, the police chased after him for 2 months. he died in jail few days before Coretta Scott King called him to court. MLK’s death caused riots within hundreds and hundreds of cities.
Death And Legacy
Coretta Scott King died January 30,2006. she had a stroke and a heart attack in August,2005, at the age of 78. In Playas de Rosarito,Mexico. she died a happy life of grace and honor because she knew she helped hundreds of thousands of millions,to have what they deserved a long time ago and now.
