Message from the Principal
Dear Knight Families,
The end of the school year is approaching fast! Last Friday, we sent out an email with an a letter introducing our new incoming Principal, Manjula Reddy. We are very excited to have her join the ACP family! She is offering 2 Meet & Greet Zoom meetings that I would encourage all families to attend if possible. We are attaching the information below again for all families in case you missed the first email. Please be sure to give her a warm Knightly welcome!
8th Grade End of Year Events
We secured the Chandler Center for the Arts on May 19th to celebrate our 8th graders and their completion of middle school. I am really sorry we are unable to accommodate parents due to limited capacity at the CCA so we hope to live-stream or record it. Once we have more information from the City of Chandler, we will disseminate to families.
The 8th grade awards assembly will happen during the school day on May 19th. This will be a formal event so I am asking 8th graders to dress to impress that day. Students should be dressed up and professional in attire. We are working to have all 8th graders have lunch together that day before the assembly.
8th Grade Sendoff Celebration Parade
ACP has a final sendoff parade planned for all 8th graders. After finals, we invite you back for an 8th grade morning drive-thru celebration like we did last year. This will take place Friday, May 28th at 7:30am. One last parent drop-off. Please see the invite and maps shown below. We hope everyone gets into the spirit to decorate their cars for the event!
ACP Booster Club
Please note the ACP Booster Club is still looking for parent volunteers to take over officer positions. The Booster Club contributes in many ways so that all students have a wonderful junior high experience through dances, and other celebrations throughout the school year. Without their volunteer efforts, ACP students would not have the same memorable experiences. The Boosters need your support. Should you be interested, please see the information listed below and reach out to acpobooster@gmail.com.
I hope you had a restful weekend!
Go Knights!

ACP Library Update
All library books and textbooks are due by May 14th! We are hoping students will help us get ready for our big move to the new campus by getting everything turned in on time.
For now, students are able to sign up for a time to visit the library during lunch (after they eat) or for 30 minutes after school. (Space is limited to encourage social distancing.) They may sign up to work at a table, use a computer, or to browse the collection. Each student only needs to sign up for one spot. Students will sign up via SignUpGenius. Parents may sign up for students, but please make sure the student’s name is listed!
A link to the SignUpGenius form can be found on the ACP-Oakland Library website, which is located here: https://www.cusd80.com/domain/5815.
