Retreat Reminders

School Retreat

Our staff and students in grades K-8 will go to Camp Maria tomorrow Wednesday, March 23rd, for our annual school retreat. Students are to wear their P.E. uniforms and tennis shoes. Everyone will need to bring a bag lunch and a drink (no soda or glass bottles please). It will be helpful to send in a rain jacket (just in case) as well.

KofC Basketball Championship

These FAW students who won at the District Level participated in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship at the State Level over the weekend at St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, MD.

Local Superhero Award - Mrs. Cusic

Congratulations to Mrs. Jane Cusic for receiving a Local School Superhero Award in the "Southern Maryland News" newspaper. She is certainly a deserving recipient and we are so thankful for all that she does for Father Andrew White School!

PG Area Science Fair Awards

The 74th Annual Prince George’s Area Science Fair was held this past weekend. This year’s theme was "Innovating a Better World Through STEMM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine." Over 400 student projects were judged from schools in three counties: Calvert, St. Mary’s, and Prince George’s, including several Prince George’s County charter and private schools. Father Andrew White School is the only Catholic school from St. Mary's County to have students that won! Congratulations to all of our winners!

Quarterly Volunteer Hour Reports

Third quarter volunteer reports will be sent home today. If you notice any hours are missing, kindly log them via our online recording form. Please be on the lookout for ways to help with any upcoming events to stay on track to meet your 35 hours/year goal. Thank you for volunteering over 3,000 hours to support Father Andrew White School!

Father Andrew White is looking into updating our uniform and we would like your feedback! Please complete the short survey below so we can get a better understanding of the needs and wants of our students and their families. Please note that if there is a change in uniform, there will be two transition years, when students have the option to wear the current uniform or the new uniform. Thank you so much for your time!

SCRIP Gift Card Program


Each family who accepts reduced tuition in exchange for service hours must also earn $50 in REBATES for the school through the SCRIP gift card program. The deadline for service scholarship families to earn the required $50 in rebates is March 31, 2022. Please reach out to if you would like to inquire about your balance. Families will be billed for their rebate shortages accordingly.

Once you have earned $50 in rebates, 75% of any additional rebates earned can be credited to next year's tuition or this year's 8th grade class fund. Please click on this link to direct where your proceeds should go.

Fun Run

Get ready for the FAW Crusader Fun Run!!! We are so excited to host this event in person this year! We'll be on the St. Mary's Ryken campus on Saturday, April 9th. The Fun Run will kick off at 8am - gates open at 7:30am and warm-ups by our very own Mrs. Stewart will begin at 7:45am! We will have music, food, and a fun COLOR RUN for the whole family to enjoy, with both 1 mile and 5k options!

We are once again holding a school-wide contest to design the logo for our run, and the winning logo will be printed on the t-shirt everyone receives for participation, as well as a special Fun Run spirit sticker. The winner will also receive a $25 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card! Contest submissions are due today, March 22nd.

Online registration is now available; sign up at Registration fees are $20 per participant for the first five members of a family, and then $10 per participant after that. By signing up for the run, you’ll get a goody bag with all the Fun Run essentials- a Fun Run t-shirt, special Fun Run spirit sticker, and other goodies. Everyone who signs up will have a free tag day on Friday, April 8th, the day before the run, to wear your shirt to school. If you sign up after March 31st, we cannot guarantee your t-shirt size request.

Prizes to the class with the highest percentage of students that register, to the class with the highest percentage of students that participate in the run, and to the winner of a raffle for all the students who register!''

BOOST Scholarship Information

Families that are not currently receiving a BOOST Scholarship but would like to apply, the instructions are available on the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) website. This is the link to the application information:

2022-2023 Registration

Registration for the 2022-2023 school year is now open. Thank you to the families who have completed the re-enrollment process through the TADS website. Admissions are now open to the public. If you haven’t re-enrolled through, you will need to do so ASAP to secure your child’s spot for next year. If you are not returning, please contact Mrs. Szoch so we know what openings there may be. Families can complete re-enrollment forms through their TADS account online at The easiest way to complete the process, is to click on the link that will be included in your email.

FAW Annual Giving Campaign

Father Andrew White School has an Annual Giving Campaign, where we reach out to families, alumni, and local parishioners to raise funds for the school. This year, we are raising funds to "Pave the Way for Kids to Play" as we transition the rear parking lot into an enjoyable recess area for our students. Thank you for prayerfully considering donating to this important fund that directly benefits our children.

We "HO-HO-HO"PE you will consider donating Santa Shop storage containers!

Recently our Santa Shop coordinator was able to find an amazing sale for next year's Santa Shop and is now in need of storage containers to store the gifts. Please consider buying a storage tote off the Amazon Santa Shop Wish List. Did you know that over 3,000 gifts are bought and donated all throughout the year? Thank you for considering supporting this beloved event in this way.
