Sharing the Good News about St. Peter Claver Catholic School
August 22, 2022
As we enter the third week of school, students in Kindergarten through 8th grade will take the MAP (Measures of Academic Success) Growth Test on Tuesday and Thursday of this week and Tuesday of next week. The MAP Growth test replaces iReady and will be administered three time per year. The MAP Growth Test is a benchmark assessment which will track student progress in Reading, Math and Language. The test is an adaptive assessment which means that as students do well, questions will become more challenging. This is good! We do not want students to feel anxious or defeated, but yet excited because they are being challenged! Encourage your scholar to do their very best. The results will allow teachers to see exactly what students need more help with learning. Be sure students are well-rested and present each day.
We have had a recent change in staff: Ms. Ray Creange, Art/STEAM teacher, has resigned due to health reasons and we are in the process of interviewing candidates to fill the position; our part-time Bookkeeper, Ms. Victoria Mount will be relocating to Colorado with her family in September. Please join us in praying for Ms. Creange and Ms. Mount during these transitions.
Please return your Family Involvement sign-up form to your child's teacher. For additional ways to be involved, please email feel free to email me at email@example.com.
Have a blessed week!
