My 2014-2015 School Year
The year I began middle school
A New Milestone
At the beginning of the school year, I was nervous to go to a school with about 1500 students and going to different classrooms for each period. However, I realized that middle school brought new opportunities, like using technology in the classroom to make lessons much more interesting and fun. It was also the first year that I was able to "decide" what I learned for the Geniu Hour Project. During this past year, I have made many new friends and built on my previous friendships. Another major change was that I advanced to the Black Gold Two Stripe belt and I am preparing for the 2015 U.S. National Team Trials.
Stronger Friendships
This year, me, Catherine, and Faith have became really good friends. We do Kung Fu together for ISPE, and go to compete and perform our Duo and Trio forms together.
Science Buddy
Audra and I had became friends during science class after we sat at the same table. From that unit on, I have requested to sit next to her for every unit, because we are also able to work productively. I also learned that she is a HUGE dog lover. (A picture of her dog)
My Science-Crazed Friend
Christina is a wonderful friend that I got to know better this year. She is very passionate about Science Olympiad, and is especially knowledgeable in Fossils, Meterology, and Anatomy. She is also always willing to help a friend peer edit their writing.

In Conclusion
Middle school has been a year full of new experiences. I now know more about how to use different technological skills and about different websites that I could use to create presentations. My new and stronger friendships will always make days at school interesting everyday, even through stressful weeks. I am also very excited to go to the U.S. National Team Trials this coming summer. 7th grade was a fun and exciting year, and I can't wait to see what 8th grade will bring to us!
