Thinking about Summer...
2018 Summer Camp Guide
For the past several years, Lago Vista ISD has put together a list of various summer learning opportunities in the Austin area that may be helpful to Lago Vista ISD parents and students who are looking for summer fun and learning options. This year, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Live Grow Play Austin for our 2018 Summer Camp Guide. As a result of this partnership, this year's summer camp guide is fully searchable by interest, location, date, price, etc.

Thank you Live Grow Play Austin for partnering with Lago Vista ISD and for providing this awesome guide for our families! It’s definitely not too soon to start thinking about what you want to do to have a great summer!
Counselor’s Corner
Parents of 5th graders:
- Thank you for making sure your 5th grader returned their 6th Grade Course Selection Card.
- Thank you for attending the parent meeting.
- And, thank you for reminding your student that we still have 10 weeks of school left! Critical learning is happening every day as we continue to provide the knowledge, skills, and tools they need for future academic success!
- Please feel free to call me or Mrs. La Rosa, LVMS Counselor, if you have any questions or concerns about the transition to middle school.
Talent Show
May 23, 2018
Talent Show Entry forms were sent home this week. They are due no later than March 29! Students must include any songs they plan to use during their performance for approval. I am excited about the talents our students will be sharing with us! Tryouts will be held the week of April 9. Please note: Parents will not be allowed to attend the tryouts.
The Viking Character Trait for March is Trustworthiness. Let’s give our children opportunities to earn our trust and build a foundation for self-confidence, responsibility, and integrity.
“Be true to your work, your word, and your friend.”
-Henry David Thoreau
Have a wonderful Spring Break! Rest, relax, enjoy the awesome hill country air with your family and be ready for a fabulous 4th Nine Weeks!!
Wear green on the 17th but remember: “Luck is great, but most of life is hard work.”
