Room 26 Weekly News
April 23-27, 2018
Announcements
It's hard to believe we are approaching the end of the year!
State testing will take place the week of May 21st. The best thing you can do to have your student prepare is to have them log on to TenMarks and do any and all assignments I have uploaded for them. TenMarks is the closest thing we have to the format, rigor, and question types on the CAASPP test.
Please mark your calendar: on June 5, there will be a parent information night at San Elijo Middle School. This is a parents-only event where Dr. DeBora will give you important information about middle school (registration, bell schedule, rules/regulations, extra curricular opportunities, etc.). (Your student will be visiting SEMS that morning.) For more information, including the specific time/location, please visit the San Elijo Middle School website. (I happen to have heard the date for this meeting so I am passing it on to you, but we are typically not informed about events happening at the middle school.)
Although most of our students will be going to San Elijo Middle School next year, we do have several students who are going to different middle schools. If your child will be going to another middle school, please make sure you contact that school for information about student registration, campus visits, elective selections, etc.

We are learning about the establishment of the U.S. Government following the Revolutionary War. We have learned about the shortcomings of the Articles of Confederation, the writing of the U.S. Constitution, and are now learning about the 3 branches of government.
As a reminder, there will be a States and Capitals test this Friday. We only have 3 more tests before the end of the year, so all students who have not passed all 50 states will be required to take the test each time. Please encourage your child to STUDY!!
