Great Skate Party at Roller Cave!
Thank you calendar committee!
A special thank you to the creative and dedicated calendar committee!
The 2020-2021 DRAFT Calendar will go to the Board for a vote on 2/19.
Please see the attached proposal. Also, please make note that all snow days will be eLearning Days on the day of the occurrence. As such, all of the typical FLEX Days are now DAYS OFF. The committee was also mindful to put Professional Days/eLearning Days next to already scheduled breaks.
In addition, start and end times will remain the same, Pre-K and Kindergarten: 8:30-3:00 and 1st-8th grades: 8:30-3:30. We hope you enjoy that your input was heard and the majority vote on both surveys was used to build the calendar. Again, we are so appreciative of your feedback on the surveys and the dedicated team who created the calendar.
A word from Jeanie Wiesler
My name is Jeanie Wiesler. My husband and I have three grown children who live in Cleveland, Tacoma and Indianapolis. I have taught English, Spanish and French for 30 years. I also speak a little German and understand some Italian (and not just pizza, gelato, latte, and al fresco). Here at Geist Montessori, my work is to help students learn English.
I am also a Tree Steward which means that I love trees, try to learn more about them every day and work to keep the woods healthy by pulling invasive species a few mornings every week.On the weekend, you might find me bird-watching, kayaking, bicycling, wildflower spotting or just staying home with my computer, a good book, or some knitting.
My greatest accomplishment would be to leave Earth a greener place.
My advice to you students is to remember that you matter, that what you know matters. Learn all you can about speaking and writing so that you can tell people what you know.
What tree would I be? A white oak. They grow big and strong. They can feed and shelter more than 500 kinds of insects and animals.

Meet the hoy Family
Jackson is now a 7th year, Violet is a 4th year and Ollie is a 2nd year.
Jackson loves to read, write stories, design cartoons, create stop motion videos and be funny. He has read the Harry Potter series at least 10 times and loves Star Wars.
Violet loves our Pug Maggie. She likes to try new things, always has a project to work on at home, loves being outside and swimming. Ollie loves llamas. He likes to figure out how things work, sing and act with Ten West theater group and to tell jokes. Matt and Danielle just sit back and try to manage the chaos.
As a family, we learn about kindness, differences and the world by watching CBS Sunday Morning. In the summer, we like to hang out with our friends at the pool, have epic Nerf Gun battles and go to the drive-in movie theater. During the winter months, we read, have Family Movie night and play games. We all celebrate our half birthdays with small gifts and our favorite cookies. We define success as working together to get through life.
