3-5th Grade Springfield Cardinals Field Trips
The dates of the trips are as follows. All trips are from 9:15 am to 1:30 pm.
April 18 - 5th grades
May 1 – 4th grades
May 17 – 3rd grades
Students will listen to an educational program first. Then, they will eat lunch (permission slips will be sent home along with if your child will be purchasing a sack lunch or bringing their own). Finally, they will watch the game scheduled for that day. If you wish to attend your child's field trip, parent/adult tickets need to be purchased directly from the Springfield Cardinals box office at (417) 863-2143 or (417) 832-3097 (ask for Brandon) at a cost of $7 dollars per ticket. The Cardinals will keep track of parents who purchase an advance ticket and they will be able to sit with the school. Those purchased after the deadline (April 7th) will have to sit where their designated seat is per their ticket. Please make sure to mention SPS and JEFFRIES.
Please note: Depending on length of game, students may have to leave before the game is over. Students are required to stay seated- come/leave with their class.
Spring Fundraiser- Major Saver! March 23-April 3
The Springfield Council of PTA’s discount card sales program benefits schools and patrons alike. The PTA, in conjunction with Major Saver, works with businesses throughout the district to offer a $15 discount card providing the customer with 20 local buy-one-get-one-free offers. In most cases, redeeming only two offers offsets the cost of the card. Proceeds from the card campaign go to the participating schools and the Springfield Council of PTA’s.
Discount card sales occur in Springfield schools starting Thursday, March 23rd thru Monday, April 3rd. Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer.
Major Saver cards can also be purchased, and credited to a student, through the Major Saver App. Once the free app is downloaded to an Android or iOS device, buyers can choose a Major Saver card through the “buy cards” tab on the app. Once the buyer completes the transaction the offers will be stored in the Major Saver App. Buyers can then redeem offers directly from the app and do not need a physical card.
Students should have brought home their order forms on Friday, March 24th. Please follow up with your child's teacher for any additional questions.

Jeffries has a formal process on how we place students every year. We look at the whole child, their areas of strength and growth, girl/boy ratio, student needs, etc. In addition, we strive to create the best learning environment for every student. Jeffries is comprised of a phenomenal team of professionals and know your child(ren) will be provided a wonderful education, no matter who his/her teacher will be. If you would like to provide feedback/or some special considerations you would like us to keep in mind, please complete the Teacher Request/Class Feedback Form. They will be available online-through a link before the end of April. That link will be provided via teachers/office staff via newsletters.
Due to student mobility, class lists are not posted until mid-August. Watch the Jeffries PTA Facebook and Back to School Parent Letter that is mailed home early August for the exact dates.
