News from Park View Elementary School: April 16, 2021
A note from Principal Mate
Dear Panther families,
If you have not yet had a chance, please take a few minutes this weekend to participate in the ThoughtExchange survey that is part of the district’s long-term strategic planning process. The strategic plan is a document that will guide the district’s work over the next five years. We are asking families, students, and staff to share and rate ideas. The ThoughtExchange will close at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 20.
If you have already participated, you are welcome to revisit the ThoughtExchange to rate responses that have been added since you initially participated.

ThoughtExchange for students: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/966296676
Parents may help their children fill out the survey but the comments and ratings should be from the student.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
~Mrs. Kristie Mate

Arrival clarifications

Some symptoms removed from exclusion guidance
The latest guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health has removed some symptoms that would keep students home related to COVID-19. Nausea, congestion, runny nose, and abdominal pain are no longer COVID-19 exclusions. (A student who is throwing up should still stay home.) Additionally, students only need to stay home if their muscle/body aches are from an unknown cause.
The district’s self-certification tickets have been updated to reflect these changes. The box that the parent signs remains the same, but the symptoms in the upper left corner have been revised.
