What will we be doing?
Writing - We will use the website ReadWriteThink to create shape poems about Autumn.
Math - We continue our study of addition advancing to sums to 20.
Social Studies - We will learn about community helpers such as farmers.
Science - We will be learning about plants and why leaves turn colors in the Fall.
In the fall, squirrels gather nuts and acorns for the winter.
In the Autumn, leaves turn beautiful colors of red, orange and yellow and fall from the trees.
Apples are harvested in the fall, as well as, pumpkins.
Science Spectrum and Mackenzie Park

- Please send $10 with your child by Friday, September 26th for entry into the Science Spectrum and the movie being shown.
- We will explore the Science Spectrum and watch the movie, "Autumn".
- At 12:00 noon, we will then load the buses and go to Mackenzie Park for a picnic lunch and go on a nature walk exploring the various signs of Fall.
- We will load the buses at 2:45 and return to the school.
