FFA Update
The past two weeks have been busy for Scottsburg FFA! Fruit Sales, an Agriculture Outlook Meeting, Officer Christmas Party and a Chapter Christmas Party. We have been jumping.
Fruit that Scottsburg FFA sold to the community arrived at the high school on Wednesday, December 6th. FFA members went to work sorting the various fruit and checking the quality of the fruit before delivering to the various customers. While this may not seem like a big job, it took three days to sort all of the fruit where it belonged.
Our second week of activities, Scottburg FFA Officers attended the annual Agriculture Outlook Breakfast early Monday morning at the Mid-America Science Park. The meeting discussed the future of agriculture and the steps that we would need to take to ensure that this is a strong future for the agricultural industry. On this same day, the Scottsburg FFA Officer Team also held their annual Officer Christmas party. Doing so, they were able to head down to Clarksville to celebrate Christmas together.
This Friday night, December 15, the Scottsburg FFA will be hosting a family event at the high school. FFA Members and their families are invited for a night of fun and excitement as they play games and participate in activities. Members are encouraged to wear either pajamas or Christmas sweaters to the party to determine who has the most Christmas spirit. This fun night will consist of tacos in a bag, decorating gingerbread houses, and multiple “Frosty the Snowman” themed games!
Scottsburg FFA would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
American Studies Radio Broadcast
These shows were "broadcast" live from the writing lab into our room using microphones and speakers to capture the feel of true radio. Students wrote the scripts, created the sound effects, and used actual 1920s music for this project.
FFA Giving Back to the Community
Along with this, fruit bags were distributed to all of the faculty at both the high school and middle school for Christmas.
