Check Policy

Franklin Academy is a NO CASH school. Personal checks will not be accepted after Friday, April 30, for payment of fees or other items. Money-orders are always acceptable. Online payments can also be made and a service fee will be applied. Make sure your child's full name, grade level, homeroom teacher and what you are paying for are included with your payment submission.
Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Please visit the link provided to review information about this event.

Our existing families should login to their parent/guardian PowerSchool account and update their family's information for the coming 2021-2022 school year. Outdated information that is no longer relevant for the family should be deleted and modified before submitting the child's registration information.

Assessment Information for Grades 3 - 8

Grade 3 - 8/MYP Y3 families should visit the link below to review the information posted on our website about Florida Standards Assessments (FSA), Statewide Science Assessments and End-of-Course Exams (EOC) for their child(ren). The information was previously shared during our Parent Night events in March, 2021.

Campus Statewide Assessments Schedule

Please click on the button provided to view the scheduled assessment dates and times for students in grades 3 - 8/MYP Y3. All information posted for these assessments are subject to change.

Campus Dismissal

Please make sure you have your child's dismissal placard placed on the PASSENGER'S SIDE dashboard of your vehicle. This will ensure efficiency during dismissal! If you do not have a placard, please email your child's homeroom teacher. A placard will be printed and sent home with your child(ren).

If you have a BULLDOG placard, please place it in the DRIVER'S SIDE of your vehicle,

so that it is visible for our staff when you are picking your AFAR student up from testing on campus.

Curbside Meal Pickup

Children 18 years of age and younger are eligible for breakfast and lunch meals, at no charge, until the end of the current school year. 5 days of FREE food, for breakfast and lunch, can be picked up 'curbside' from the west side of our building! Members of our campus SLA Management team distribute meals to families every Thursday, between 6:30am and 7:30am and at 4pm until 5pm. During the month of May, meals will be distributed to families on May 6, 13, 20 and 27. Simply let the SLA staff know how many children you are picking up meals for.

3rd Annual National Police Appreciation

National Appreciation Police Week will be recognized on Sunday, May 9 thru Saturday, May 15 this year. Our campus will be celebrating National Police Week by hosting an event on Friday, May 14 for our campus detail officers. Families have been generously donating gift cards to be presented to them during the special event when those invited officers will be honored for the protection and service they provide in our community. All gift cards for our officers should be received by Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

We are excited to host our Franklin Family Night at menchie's on Thursday, May 27, 2021, between 2pm and 9pm.

20% of purchases will be donated to our school (benefiting the Art Department).

Be sure to mention our school and this flyer when you visit menchie's on Thursday, May 27 for the event!

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Existing Franklin Academy families have been sent a link to a Parent Satisfaction Survey, that they have been invited to participate in. All submissions should be received by Monday, May 31, 2021. K-8 families will be receiving a text message, sent via SwiftReach Swift K12, until the deadline submission date to remind them to complete the survey.

No School For Students

On Monday, May 31, there will be no school for students and our offices will be closed. Classes will resume for students on Tuesday, June 1, and our offices will be open. Telephone assistance will be provided from 7am until 4pm daily. In-person assistance must be scheduled by appointment only.
