MCAS- May 2022 Dates
During MCAS testing please ensure that your child has a good night's sleep and full breakfast! Please remember that breakfast is available at school for all students! ALL STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME!
STE- Science Technology and Engineering
ELA- English Language Arts
Math- Math
During testing ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE PROHIBTED. This includes cell phones and apple watches, etc. Please be sure that you discuss with your child that if they chose to still bring these devices to school they will need to give these devices to their classroom teacher/testing proctor BEFORE testing begins and they will receive them AFTER the testing session has ended. This is a non-negotiable. If any device is set off (rings, vibrates, etc.) during testing we risk having to invalidate tests.
Thank you for all of your support at home and for understanding!

SEL UPDATES
Character Trait of the Month
Friday was our last day of April's character trait, DETERMINATION. We discussed the meaning of determination during Community Meeting. Our May character trait of the month is COMPASSION. With the help of some 4th graders here at Barbieri, we will also be focusing on an anti-bullying campaign. During Community Meetings we discussed the first step (!) is stomping out bullying. Each student will receive a footprint. We are asking that every student decorates their footprint to help us create the visual for our anti-bullying campaign.
Greeting of the Week
STOMP IT OUT!
The 4th graders who are helping with the anti-bullying campaign came up with this greeting.
One student stomps their feet 3 times and says “Stomp It Out, good morning ________”.
The next student replies to the first student in the same way.
HAPPY ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF DAY
Ms. Diane Cartier and Ms. Joelie Rivera!
Where would be without you two? THANK YOU THAK YOU THANK YOU for making sure everything is just how its suppose to be! We appreciate your daily support in ensuring our office is a well oiled machine that services our staff, students and families!
