Simile - comparing two or more unlike things USING like or as.
"There is a sound like a pebble dropped down a well" (67).
Personification - when animal, objects, or an idea is given human qualities or characteristics
"The fear that clenched my stomach never grew easier to bear for its familiarity" (90).
