Spotlight Books for April

MAP and PARCC Month!

A is for April and Assessment at Prairiewood! Testing is important because it helps teachers evaluate a student’s needs and progress, the student gauge his or her own level of mastery, and the parent monitor his or her child’s progress.

April 4-15, students will be taking the MAP test in the computer lab, and April 18-29, PARCC testing will be taking place in both the library and computer lab on Chromebooks. Check out these testing tips for before, during and after from Excel in Ed!

Battle of the Books

The battles begin this month! Students will take a first round "quiz" with their team to determine eligibility, and then grade level battles will begin the week of April 18th. Make sure to study the battle notes and practice titles and authors with your team; steal those points!

Got Respect? Assembly

At last month's Got Respect? assembly, students all danced to a choreographed routine to show that they are more alike than different!
