Using the Library Management System
Place a Book on Hold
Steps:
Click ClassLink
Click Follett Destiny app
In the upper search box, type the title or keyword
To place a hold:
From search results or a title's details page, click Hold.
Notes:
- Your search results page might look different, depending on your version of the user interface.
To view Holds in the Standard version, select > Holds.
- To view Holds in the Simplified version, select > My Stuff > Holds.
- To view Holds in Destiny Discover, click the three-bar Menu icon to the left of the words, 'Destiny Discover'. Select 'Holds' to view your current holds.

2. Once title/copy is available, LMC staff will check it out to you.
3. Title will be delivered to your Homeroom Teacher's mailbox.
Here's an Opportunity to Tell Everyone How Much You Like What You Have Been Reading!
Now you can take the advice of other students by reading their reviews of the books they're reading. And, once, you've finished reading a book, you can write your own review to help other students decide.
Step 1 - Read
You may want to take notes because the next step is to . . . . . .
Step 2 - Draft a Review
Consider:
- WHY is it a good book?
- What was the best part (or maybe there was more than one)?
- Have you read other books by the same author and liked them (or not)?
- What would you want to know if you were reading this review?
- Would you recommend this book to others?
Copy it to be able to paste in Destiny.
Step 3 - Post Review to Destiny
- Type in the title of the book you’ve read, omitting a, an, or the if they appear as the first word in the search box at the top of Destiny Discover.
- Click on the magnifier/search icon.
- Next, find the exact title you want from the list of choices and click on it.
- The Details window for that title will open.
- Just below the Call Number, Click 'Add a Review."
- System will switch the tab view from 'More info' to 'Reviews'.
- Here you will want to indicate just how good the book is by giving it anywhere from 1 to 5 stars.
- Then you paste the review you’ve written and click on 'Submit Review.'
Written and digital reviews are subject to approval.
Step 4 - Wait for Approval
Essential Questions to Guide Your Review
- What did you like about this book?
- What connections did you make when you read this book?
- What questions do you have after reading this book?
- What did you learn that you didn't know before reading this book?
Be sure to tell why you would or would not recommend this book to a friend.
