5Essentials Survey required from the Illinois State Board of Education
Parents, this is your opportunity to evaluate Sunny Hill Elementary School according to five “essential” areas critical for school success. A full page letter with details was sent home on 2/15/21 regarding both the parent survey and the student survey. The online survey is open through April 2nd and is accessed by clicking here.
PLEASE NOTE: Because Barrington 220 is based in Lake County, choose "Lake" from the county drop down menu, then select our school. The survey data becomes part of each school’s Illinois School Report Card. Thank you for your participation in this important survey. We appreciate and value your feedback!

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) ~ Mr. De La Mora, Assistant Principal
I would like to thank all of our Sunny Hill families and students for being flexible with all the changes we have been going through lately. It surely shows the resilience and strength of our tigers and the great support they all receive at home. We are currently finishing the first week of having more in-person students in this school year. All of our tigers have adapted gracefully to the new health and safety requirements we all need to observe during our whole school day, especially during lunch and recess time. Great job, Tigers!
Last month, we had a successful Kindness Raffle in which all students had the opportunity to show how to be kind to themselves and others. We are in the planning process of different activities to address the social and emotional needs of our students during April. These activities will be focused on the appropriate behaviors to show as part of our community as a whole (virtually or in-person). Please continue to be on the lookout for our morning announcements where we will be sharing more about these exciting activities and the opportunities for our students to demonstrate the “Tiger way.”
Thank you for all of your help, I am here to help you, and to give our students the opportunities to be the best version of themselves that they can be. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me at (847) 426-4232 or via email at edelamora@barrington220.org.
Nurse Notes ~ Ms. Finegan
