We Are A.R.M.Y. Strong!!

Each day, we say the Continental Creed: "As a member of the Continental Army, I promise to be Accountable, Respectful, Motivated to Learn, and do mY best." We also remind students of our school goal of achieving a letter grade of a B in three years or less....Students will hear us say "Are you helping us get to a B in 3?" If we all focus on ARMY every day, we will reach this goal!

PTSA Baskin Robbins Night

All the money the PTSA raises goes back in our school to benefit all the students at Washington. Let's make this the best Baskin Robbins Scoop Night Ever. Baskin Robbins is located at 848 S. Green River Road, Lawndale Shopping Center.

First Grading Period Coming to an End!!!!

The end of the first grading period is Thursday, October 9th. Please make sure you are checking your child's grades on RDS Parent Access. What a great resource to stay informed at your convenience. If you have questions regarding RDS Parent Access, please call school and speak to the secretaries or our counselor, Mrs. Asay.

Netbooks have been in the classroom for a couple weeks. A couple tips and reminders to make sure the educational impact of the netbooks are being maximized. First, it is important the netbooks come back to school charged everyday. Remind your child to plug the netbook in before going to bed. Secondly, the netbooks are instructional tools just like a textbook, pencil or paper. It is important the netbooks are at school everyday so your child will have access to it upon the teachers' request. Lastly, netbooks are fragile. Please make sure your child has a netbook case to protect the netbook from damage. The netbook case will also provide a safe way to transport the netbook from class to class and back and forth to school. Netbook cases can be purchased in the office.

Dress Code Reminders

Please double check the dress code before coming to school each day. As the weather begins to cool, please be reminded that any sweatshirt, sweater or jacket is required to be a solid color and not have a hoody. Students wearing these items will be asked to return it to their locker. For the most part, our students have done a nice job with dress code, so let's keep that up!
