Parents can also enter from Furnace Street and go along the front of FBMS and when you reach the end of FBMS take a right along the side of the building. When you reach the orange cones please stop and wait for a FBMS staff member to help you with the process. When you leave FBMS please turn left on Rams way towards Route 139 or right towards MHS and Forest Street.

WE CANNOT GIVE OUT A CHROMEBOOK IF THE REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETED IN ASPEN & AN INSURANCE OPTION WAS SELECTED
Thank you. We are looking forward to safely seeing you all next week to pick up your chromebook at FBMS.
Masks are REQUIRED
We are serious about students wearing masks. Wearing them is not something to joke about, and students who are either refusing to wear a mask or pulling theirs off will be sent home. Additionally, such behavior will be met with progressive discipline. We wear masks to keep all those around us safe.
Attention 6th grade parents
In an effort to have the building fresh in their minds we are inviting 6th graders to come take a tour of FBMS on Monday, September 14th and Tuesday, September 15th. The small group tours will be hosted by friendly staff members and offered at the following times: 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm on either day. In order to keep our groups small, the tours will be for students only and everyone must wear a mask. Parents please stay and wait for your child in our parking lot closest to the cafeteria near door 6 (our official parent pick up door). Each tour will last about twenty minutes. We can't wait to meet our students!
2020 - 2021 Schedule Update
Changing from our traditional 7 period day to a 4 block rotation over 2 days has been a daunting task. Added to that is ensuring that we have a 6 foot distance between all students and teachers. We are committed to health and safety as our top priority in scheduling so we are grouping students as much as possible by course enrollment to reduce transitions.
Our Guidance Team has been busy at work and we hope to communicate your child's cluster within the next day or so. Due to the intricate work on scheduling and keeping our cohort class sizes small for safety purposes, we can not take requests for any changes.
Backpacks
School Supplies
1. Back Pack (students will carry throughout the day)
2. Pencil Case
3. Pencils
4. Kleenex
5. Wipes
6. Small hand sanitizers
7. A bath towel (this is for PE---physical education will be outside and often the ground is wet--it will be used to sit upon).
8. Ear buds w/microphone (any kind) to speak in to for Chromebook
9. Spiral bound notebook
Most of student work will be done and be kept in an online platform. We are trying to minimize the use of paper and the handing back and forth of papers overall.
More information can be obtained from each teacher once school begins.
If you are experiencing a financial hardship, please contact our guidance office so we can ensure your child has the necessary supplies. We want all children to succeed.
The Running Dream Miles Challenge!
Thank you for participating this summer! Furnace Brook has covered 2250 miles!
This week ahead is our final week. Be sure to update your total by adding any new miles. Our final report will be next week.
Well done, everyone!
