A Christmas Carol
By Charles Dickens
Book Review
You should read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens because it is a very well written and descriptive book. First, you should read the book because it has a lot of figurative language. For example there are two similes and it even talks about one just on the first page. Secondly, it is one of the most well written books I have ever read. With all the figurative language and descriptions the whole thing lost sounds like a poem. Lastly it has the most description of any book I have ever read. When we were listening to the audio book we had five minutes of straight description. In conclusion you should read A Christmas Carol because it is well written, has a lot of figurative language, and is very descriptive.

Sacrifices made
In A Christmas Carol Scrooge had to make many sacrifices. One of the biggest sacrifices he made was when he had to sacrifice his personality and way of life to become a better man than he was before. This is a sacrifice because he had to give up his past to have a good and helpful future. A sacrifice I have made is I had to sacrifice my money to go to Cooperstown, New York for a baseball tournament. This is a sacrifice because I gave up money that I could've used somewhere else to go to New York.
