Daily Admin Update
Day 6 (feels like day 32)
Beautiful Things
Thank you parents for working so hard with you kids, as many of us are working parents as well we know the struggle is real. We are counting the days (although no end date) to have us all back together again.
We had 15 performers (a handful who went twice,) 35 logins, and two hours of awesome togetherness. I am inspired by all the love and support in our community. I am so grateful for this time we got to spend together.
Thank you counseling team for 19 acts of kindness!
Thank you to all of our teachers, case managers and IA's who got our learning program with special education services on DAY ONE!
Thank you to those who have reached out for help and thank you to those who have helped.
Thank you Bernie and Kathy for meeting with teachers and being so forward thinking.
Additional Food Resources
Below are the food service sites confirmed by the San Diego County Office of Education, where students will be provided meals during the school closures beginning March 16. We will be updating this page as more information is available. This list is extensive and has sites all over San Diego County.
Feeding San Diego is another resource for families facing hunger. Families can receive food at Feeding San Diego distributions throughout the region. Please visit their webpage for information.

Child Care Resources
If you are a first responder and are in need of child care please email Sarah Saluta at sarah@sdccs.org.
Resources for Working Parents
San Diego’s child care providers are working closely with county and state authorities to continually assess the situation and ensure safety.
As of Monday, March 16, the main resource for families needing child care is to call the YMCA’s Childcare Resource and Referral line for help finding child care: (800) 481-2151. If you are a health care provider, YMCA is offering extra support to find care, which can be accessed by calling (619) 952-0242.
