Newsletter Term 1 Week 8
Patumahoe School 23rd of March 2022
COVID-19 update
We still appear to have lingering illness across our school that is affecting both staff and students. However, we are pleased to note a significant decrease in the number of students away. As of 9am this morning, we only have 38 students away.
The government have an announcement at 11am today around the current covid settings and vaccination mandates. If anything comes from this announcement that may have a positive impact on our school, I will look to provide another update later this week.

Hotcross buns are going to be on sale outside Bakers Delight Pukekohe this Saturday. For every bag sold, $2 will be donated to our school. Thank you to the Faulkner family and Bakers Delight Pukekohe for offering this support. Everybody get down there and spend up. They are the bext hotcross buns in Pukekohe. Go on! You deserve it.
The school Reading Challenge is just over a week out from its conclusion. We are starting to get a growing pool of major prizes being donated from local businesses. DMI Plumbing have come on board with Lego sets. We will be doing a prizegiving assembly next Friday the 1st of April to draw our major prize winners and also the super readers who get to have a special lunch with the principal.
Well you haven't heard the last golf update for the year. That will be in next week's newsletter as our pennants golf team beat Maungakiekie at Akarana Golf Club in a sudden death playoff to make the Auckland final. It took our number 1 player to hole out for eagle on the first playoff hole to secure our spot in the grand final at Royal Auckland and the Grange where our opponents will be Windross Farm. I must also note that a Patumahoe School dad -rather conveniently- is a head greenkeeper at Royal Auckland.
