A Message from Dr. Bearden
We had a great first week back after the break. Staff and students transitioned back to the business of pumping that brain muscle again! We did not have a lot of events this week and just a few things on the horizon. I am ready for the weekend and hope that you all have plans to practice Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw!
Kindness Week:
Kindness Week is coming the last week of January! At SHE, we talk a lot about "filling the bucket" for others. This is a metaphor for being kind and respectful to others. As we get closer to Kindness Week, we will send more information about how SHEShines with kindness!!
FLU INFORMATION FROM FCS:
The flu season is extended for the state of Georgia and school children are especially at risk for the flu. Click FLU UPDATE for the latest message from FCS, which contains helpful tips for families! Stay well and wash, wash, wash your hands... We are sanitizing the classroom surfaces each and every day.
If your child misses school due to sickness, even if you do not visit the doctor, please send a note to your teacher so that we can excuse the absence.
REPORT CARDS INFORMATION
With any new information system, there are bugs to work out. Although SHE teachers have reported and finalized grades for all students, there an issue with grades randomly being left off of some report cards. This is happening for all FCS schools and you may receive communication from FCS as well.
Grades are visible in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. However, because we want report cards to be absolutely correct for every student, we will not send hard copies home today. We are working to resolve the printing issue and hope to have these reports finalized early next week. Thank you
That is it for this week! As always, thank you for reading and for your partnership!
Please reach out if you have any questions or anything to share. Take care, Lorrie
