Flood Definition
Flood: An abundant flow or outpouring
How might an organism adapt to sustain its species?
Short Term: Many species of reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals can find shelter from floods by just climbing above the water. Larger animals might be forced to temporarily relocate.
Long Term: some nesting birds are in trouble if flooding happens while they are in nesting time, but others will just nest someplace else.

What effects does the change have on the people?
In a serious flood, people will have to evacuate their cars to avoid drowning. However, in this picture, the drivers do not have life vests, and they are staying inside so they don't die.
This is an example of adapting to the environment.
