Youth Action Council
Barons! Mayor Mary Casillas Salas is looking to recruit students for Youth Action Council (YAC). The YAC is composed of Chula Vista high school students in grades 10, 11, or 12. The YAC establishes a communication link between Chula Vista youth and the City Council. Members are primarily engaged in a variety of community service projects that initiate outreach to their neighbors and peers. The YAC also provides opportunities for students to connect with their community and become informed stakeholders. Additionally, students can earn community services hours for those who are looking to fulfill this graduation requirement.
