Summer School Enrollment Ends Monday
Summer school is a project-based, hands-on, fun and exciting opportunity for our kiddos!

About our Summer School program:
The program for grades K-8 integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
- Kindergarten-8th grade Summer School will be four days per week (Monday-Thursday)
- K-8 students may attend one session of two weeks, or two sessions to total four weeks.
- K-5 students will attend summer school from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Creekmoor, Stonegate, and Peculiar elementary schools.
- For students in grades K-5, fee-based Panther Pride child care will be offered (before and after school care and/or Friday, as needed).
- Full-day Panther Pride Summer Camp will be offered at Bridle Ridge Elementary.
- Grades 6-8 will attend summer school from 7:40 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Ray-Pec South Middle School.
Summer School Enrollment will occur online.

Art Show & Family Barbecue May 4
End of School Family BBQ & Art Show is NEXT WEEK!
Dinner:
$4 [per person] will buy you a hot dog, drink, cookie and a bag of chips.
We will accept cash or check only at the door.
Art Show:
Your child's artwork and their creations will be displayed throughout the building. Lots of fun art activities for your child to participate in will be offered as well.
You will also have the opportunity to purchase your child's framed artwork for $25.
Cash or check will be accepted to purchase artwork.
Other Activities:
Kids will get to enjoy a bounce house and access to the playground as well as take a look into emergency service vehicles!
Field Day is May 18
Field Day is Coming Soon!
Your kiddos will enjoy tremendously fun and active field day stations both indoors and outdoors at our first ever Bridle Ridge Field Day.
Who can come to field day?
All students enrolled at Bridle Ridge and attending school on May 18 will attend and participate. Children not enrolled at Bridle Ridge may not attend.
Can parents or family members come to field day?
Adults that sign up to volunteer will check in at the specified time and report to their volunteer station.
Parents or family members may not walk around with their child(ren) on Field Day as we will need every available helping hand we can get to work at stations. Only volunteers that have signed up for a volunteer time slot may attend Field Day.

Continuous improvement is a key component of the District's Strategic Plan. Many of the goals in the plan require performance measurement, and the District will monitor a range of indicators, including such varied items as ACT scores, employee retention rates, and financial data.

- May 18 - Field Day (activities will occur inside if inclement weather exists) - Only adults that are signed up to volunteer may attend field day - volunteers may not bring siblings
- May 22 - Kindergarten End of Year Celebration 2:30-3:30 p.m.
- May 23 - 5th grade Celebration - Aaron's and Rec Park [during the school day]
- May 25 - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - early release 1:05 p.m.
- June 4 - 28 - Ray-Pec Summer School (Bridle Ridge students attend Peculiar Elementary for summer school)
- June 8 - Bridle Ridge office closes for the summer
- July 23 - Bridle Ridge office opens
- July 25 and July 31 - All district registration - parents must attend ONE date to register their child for the 2018-2019 school year
- August 13 - Meet the Teacher
- August 15 - First Day of School
Ray-Pec Panther Youth Basketball
PANTHER CAMP COMING THIS SPRING MAY 7th - 10th
The boys' basketball program will be coming to your child's elementary school! This is an outstanding opportunity for you and your child to learn a bit more about basketball. We will have lessons on dribbling, shooting, decision making, team play, defense, passing and pivoting. We use a variety of games that make learning these skills fun. Don't miss out on this opportunity for your child.

The Ray-Pec Public School Foundation and Ray-Pec School District announce a new exciting partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City!
Big Brothers Big Sisters creates and supports life-changing friendships between children facing adversity in the Kansas City area with caring, adult mentors. Little Brothers and Little Sisters who are matched with a "Big" are proven to receive better grades, have higher self-esteem and be more likely to reach their full potential.

5th Annual MAD Dash 5K
The Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation is presenting its fifth annual MAD Dash 5K Walk/Run on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Raymore Recreation Park. Registration opens at 5:45 p.m., and the walk/run begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students.
We are also looking for sponsors - t-shirts, snacks, and items for participant bags.

Meal Account Menus & Payments
Menus
School meal menus are available on the Child Nutrition website at www.rpchildnutrition.org as well as the “Web Menus” app by School Nutrition and Fitness available through itunes for Apple or Playstore for Android.
Online Payment Processing
The Child Nutrition Department now uses the Ray-Pec Web Store to process meal account payments. Go to www.raypec.k12.mo.us and select “Online Bill Pay” at the top of the page to replenish funds in your student’s meal account.
