Geography
In Japan the landforms are mostly rugged and mountainous.The climate varies from tropical in south to cool temperate in north.The resources are mineral resources and fish.Japan has with virtually no energy natural resources, Japan is the worlds largest importer of coal and natural gas, as well as the second largest importer of oil. Japans natural disaters are usually some active volcanoes; about 1,500 occurrences (mostly tremors but occasional severe earthquakes) every year; tsunamis; typhoons volcanism: both Unzen (elev. 1,500 m) and Sakura-jima (elev. 1,117 m), which lies near the densely populated city of Kagoshima, have been deemed "Decade Volcanoes" by the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earths Interior, worthy of study due to their explosive history and close proximity to human populations; other notable historically active volcanoes.

Up to 230,000 Brazilians of Japanese origin migrated to Japan in the 1990s to work in industries; some have returned to Brazil (2004).Their launguage is Jappenease. Japans religions are Shintoism 83.9%, Buddhism 71.4%, Christianity 2%, other 7.8% Total adherents exceeds 100% because many people belong to both Shintoism and Buddhism

Japan is a parliamentary government with a constitutional monarchy.Japans cheif of state of the excutive branch is Emperor AKIHITO and Prime Minister Shinzo ABE. The legislative branchs name is Diet or Kokkai. The judicials branch contains all types of governments.The constitution was adopted on May 3rd 1947.The age citizens are able to vote is 20 years of age.
