News from the Jamestown Library
September 2013
Welcome and Welcome Back!
We begin in September by reviewing expectations and procedures in the Library, creating our own library cards (grades K-2), learning how to check our library accounts online (grades 3-5), getting to know library resources, and best of all, talking about all of the great books we've discovered over the summer!
Each month I will also highlight resources provided by the Arlington County Public Libraries - they are truly our partners in passionate reading! The ACPL Paws-to-Read program is an opportunity for children to practice reading in a less stress-ful environment by reading to patient, nonjudgemental...dogs. Register in advance for a 15 minute time slot at the Cherrydale Branch Library (3rd Saturday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.) Call 703-228-6330 or go to http://library.arlingtonva.us/events/kids-events/paws-to-read/ for more information
