Lunch Changes after Spring Break
Dear D103 Families,
The changes in our mitigation efforts at school have worked well. The transmission of Covid has not occurred with masks being optional/recommended. Additionally, transmission levels in our community remain low.
With Spring Break occurring next week and many of our community traveling, the possibility of Covid transmission could increase when people return from vacation. We will review the number of cases in school and, if cases remain low, the plan is to modify lunch seating for all students to sit at tables or desks that are less than 6 feet apart on Monday, April 11. It takes approximately 2 weeks to see changes in Covid cases and whether travel has impacted rates in a community, and April 11 is 2 weeks after we return from Spring Break. We will continue to monitor Covid in our schools and make adjustments as necessary.
Thank you for your partnership and patience as we continue to adjust our Covid procedures.
Sincerely,
Scott Warren, Ed.D
Superintendent of D103 Schools
