I hope you and your families enjoyed your beautiful weekend! We are entering STAAR week at Benignus and your kids are ready. They have worked so hard this year and can't wait to show what they have learned. If you have a student in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade please make sure they are eating a good breakfast and getting plenty of sleep before their test day. The campus will be a closed campus on Tuesday, 5/11-Thursday, 5/13. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me.

Field Day- May 19th

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, Benignus Elementary will be having our 15th annual Field Day. The whole school will be participating in a number of physical education activities and games. The field day schedule and activity times are listed below for your information.

RSVP FOR FIELD DAY BY MAY 14th. Name tags will go home with your oldest student on Tuesday, May 18th. All visitors must have their Drivers License scanned in the new visitor system this year to have a name tag pre-printed and sent home. Please stop by Benignus with your ID anytime between 7:45 am and 4 pm to be scanned to avoid long lines on the day of the event. Please call us if you have questions regarding scanning licenses.

(Pre-K, EC /Developmental, K-2nd)

8:30-9:15 Grade level relay games

9:20-10:55 Students complete 15 stations

(EC PM, 3rd-5th)

12:30--1:15 Grade level relay games

1:20-2:55 Students complete 16 stations


If you didn't purchase a Field Day shirt, just have your student wear the appropriate color:

Prek-2nd grade- gold shirt

3rd-5th grade- maroon shirt

Leopard's Award Ceremony

We would love to invite all KOL students to school for the Leopard Award Ceremony. We will be providing zoom access for friends and family closer to the last week of school.


** Please remember, in order for us to send home your name tag the day before the ceremony, you must have scanned your driver's license in the system prior to the award ceremony. Please come in and have your license scanned, if you have not already, by May 19th. Click HERE to RSVP no later than May 19th in order to attend the award ceremony.
