Classroom Response Systems

Classroom Response Systems

In this meetup, Sherry Lehane, RIFLI Tech PD Specialist, will introduce you to three different types of classroom response systems: Socrative, Poll Everywhere, and Today's meet. A classroom response system is an online formative assessment tool that allows teachers to get instant feedback on lessons taught or content shared with students through quizzes, opinion polls, and discussion forums.

Electronic response systems are fun and engaging for students and for teachers, they are an effective and efficient assessment of what students know, what they are interested in, and what questions they have. The analytics of the programs offer a variety of ways to display results so teachers can decide next steps and adapt learning goals. As the end of the fiscal year approaches, this could be a great way to help students reach their goals!
