The Reading Intervention Department K-5 will approach this book in 2 sessions with an online Google forum to collaborate and share resources for ways to apply what we've learned to share with our teachers.

Attend 2 F2F sessions!
You'll receive a total of 5.0 hours of PD trade time for participating in two sessions (1.5 hours each) of Face-to-Face sessions and contribute to our shared Google folder for an additional two hours of time. This Google folder will help us to collect ideas and resources we can offer to teachers in our buildings.
Guaranteed to have tons of applicable strategies for reading.
What do I need to do?
- Sign up for this Book Study session on 48 Carats.
- Log the PD session on your PD time log.
- Come prepared for the first session by reviewing the structure of the text and scanning the first 4 goals.
- At the first session, sign up to review 2 goals in reading comprehension (you may read all goals, but you are only required to review two goals) to share during our second session.
- Add information and other resources to our Google folder.
- Take these ideas back to your teachers to offer great strategies that can be immediately applied.

The book is divided into 13 goals, over half of which deal with reading comprehension.

During our first session, each person will select two goals (Goals 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) to read and share out during our second session together.
