September 2021

Our first few weeks at Kraft Meadows Intermediate have been a great success! It is awesome to see our students engaged in learning while navigating a brand new school and schedule. We have had the opportunity to welcome a new 5th and 6th grade class of students and new staff members. I would like to thank our parents for your continued support and we are really looking forward to a great 2021-2022 school year!

Our KMIS students may not carry any over the counter or prescription medication in their backpacks or pockets. Inhalers and Epipens must be kept in the Support Room unless the proper paperwork has been completed by a physician to self carry. Please fill out the district medical forms located on the KMIS page of the district website. You can find them under the 'For Students and Parents' tab - Helpful Documents. Please call Mrs. Hullinger or nurse Lindsey in the Support Room if you have questions.

Students may not wear hats or hoodies in the building. Crop tops, spandex and t-shirts with the sides cut out, are not permitted and should be saved for activities outside of school. Masks are worn covering the nose and mouth for the entire time students are in the building, except when eating. Cell phones are to be turned off and put away in a backpack from 7:15-2:40. Students may not use their cell phone during the school day!

If someone in your household is testing for COVID or is exhibiting 2 or more COVID symptoms, please keep your child home until test results come back. If a family member or your KMIS student tests positive, the KCHD/MDHHS will determine a return to school date for students or the household positive case. Please contact Mrs. Hullinger with ANY COVID information.
