The largest city in India is Mumbai. Mumbai has about 12.5 million people. According to citymayors.com as of 2007 Mumbai has the highest population density in the world with 29,650 people per square kilometer.
India's large and still growing population the people of India might be in trouble soon. Unlike China, India does not have a one child family policy. Families in India could have as many children as they want. In China there is a one child policy to try to assure 0% population growth. India however could have as many children as they would like. According to BBC NEWS it is expected that India will have a higher population count than China in the future if India doesn't do anything to slow or stop population growth. A higher population would mean not as much food, water or jobs for people resulting in poverty for India's population.
