Congratulations…you have made it through the most difficult months of the school year!
Typically, we have approximately eight weeks of school remaining after Spring Break. Thanks to the hard work of teachers, staff, and administrators, we have been able to utilize e-learning for grades K-12 to reduce the number of days added onto the end of the school year. What does that mean for the district? The result is 6 weeks (30 instructional days) of school after break and a summer vacation that is 11 weeks long. Thank you for making this happen. Also, thank you for making technology integration a priority in your classroom. This has allowed students to work through e-learning activities with very few issues.
During your much-deserved break, please take the opportunity to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. Throughout the school year, there have been a lot of changes and successes within the district. I know that change often leads to stress and additional work for many of you. I appreciate the time and effort that everyone has put in to help provide opportunities for student success. Thanks for putting kids first.
Have a safe and enjoyable break.
Troy

*Special Recognition*
**Charlie Vice. We all owe Charlie our thanks as he works diligently ensuring our facilities are top notch. Especially in this challenging spring weather, he goes above and beyond ensuring everything is ready for athletics. Be sure to extend your thanks to him!
**Pat Leffers. Pat has been working many long hours outside of school piecing together details and making plans on the Lilly Grant. Even though he is extremely busy, he saw the value in what this grant could bring to our Jr/Sr High and willingly took on the extra load. We appreciate your hard work!
**Jamie Earnhart and the FFA. They held their 13th annual FFA Petting Zoo on Thursday. They had 50 FFA members and 547 elementary students involved. They've even made the front page of the newspaper. This was a huge success! Thanks for all you do Jamie!
**Kim Maneke. Her Physics students were required to build a structure using just 50 Popsicle sticks and a single glue stick. The winning structure held a whopping 360lbs and collapsed under 405lbs.. Great instruction and congrats to all involved!
**Katy Knox. Katy is an outstanding champion of kids at Albion Elementary. Along with fulfilling the multiple responsibilities that come along with being in charge of our library, Katy also gets involved in helping with many other functions of our school. Any time that there are last minute schedule changes or coverage needs, she accepts the challenge with a smile. She builds lasting relationships with students and consistently goes out of her away to show kids that she cares about them. We are #cnproud to have Katy at Albion Elementary.
**Adam Tomlinson & Kelli Ohms. Adam & Kelli are heading up the Unified Track team. This is a fulfilling thing for these students lives and we appreciate you both for taking this on and making these students feel extra special.
**Mandy Geiger & Susie Gallmeyer. Susie and Mandy take on many roles throughout a day at Wolf Lake Elementary. They are secretaries, nurses, counselors, principal and moms on any given day. These ladies know every student and parent that walks in the door and always meet and greet them with a smile. Susie and Mandy are often the first line of defense when dealing with upset parents or frantic teachers. These ladies embody the #WeAre1 philosophy!
