Alternative Spring Breaks

Spring Break is a time of relaxation and sun seeking for many college students. For a number of Seattle U students, it will be an opportunity to be "men and women for and with others" by working on service projects nationally and around the globe. Our students will be working in New Orleans on tornado and post-Katrina rebuilds, working on infrastructure at an orphanage in Belize, learning about the economic challenges in Appalachia and building homes in Mexico.

Encourage your student to seek out opportunities for service. Campus Ministry, the Center for Community Engagement, Xavier Global House and numerous student clubs provide ways to engage in service for a day, week, quarter or all year.

Spring Career and Internship Fair

Albers Placement Center and Career Services are hosting SU’s annual Spring Career & Internship Fair for students from all majors on April 25th, 11:00a – 2:00p, in the Campion Ballroom on campus. 65+ Companies & Organizations will be in attendance. Encourage your student to visit Career Services beforehand to discuss best practices for engaging these employers. We will be holding drop-in advising hours for Career Fair Prep on April 20th & 21st from 10:00a – 2:00p in the James C. Pigott Pavilion for Leadership, Suite 110.
