Pythagoras was born in Samos,Ionia c.570 bce and died c.500-490 Bce

Pythagora was a philosopher and a mathematician also the founder of the Pythagorean brotherhood. Pythagora moved to southern Italy in about 532 BCE. To escape Samos evil rule. Pythagora established his Ethico-political academy in Croton Italy. None of Pythogoras writtings have survived.He is being credited for the theory of the functional significance of numbers in the objective world and music.

Other discoveries attributed to pythagora -the side and diagonal square,for example the Pythagorean Theorem which everyone knows about there was also a school, named after him the schools name was Pythagorean school.
