In-Service Opportunities:
NEW THIS YEAR- all in-services must be booked through School Station. I will email out a listing of all opportunities in your building monthly. All offerings will be listed via School Station and require you to register in advance.
Meetings:
If you would like to set up a meeting with me to discuss technology needs, software assistance, or assistance with incorporating technology into your daily lessons simply email me.

Work Orders
Matt Parker will be our Technician this year. He will be at Eagleville on Tuesdays and Fridays and Holloway on Wednesdays. As always at the beginning of the year, there are a lot of things that need to be fixed and set up. We will be working through these issues by priority. We appreciate your patience with this matter and ask you to keep in mind that student machines will be low priority for the first couple of weeks of school.

NEW WIFI
At the end of last year the county installed new access points for the wifi and setup has changed. To connect to the wifi you will need to follow these steps:
- Select the RCS-Secure network option
- It will then prompt you to give a username and password
- You will enter your email username and password
- There is also a guest option this year. The Guest option does not work as well and will have more securities, blocking more sites than the RCS-Secure option. Guest will be asked to fill out further info and give an email address prior to access.
Please change any devices you have over to this Wifi network. The RCS-Secure will work in any Rutherford County School once you login. Let me know if you have questions.
Where to Start?
- Plug in everything you have, including printers, mobi's, doc. cameras, VCR, TV, etc.
- Make sure you plug in the white network cable from the back of the computer to the wall.
- Test the projector to make sure ti is showing your computer, PLUG in the blue projector cable in to the wall prior to turning on your computer. (See the link below for CLONING your projector)
- Test the Video Feed for Announcements-email me if it's not working.
- Test out speakers and audio.
- Help out your neighbors/team members (especially new teachers) that may not be familiar with all of these items.
- Do not block the network drops on the walls will bookshelves, desks, cabinets, etc. We will need to access these for maintenance.
Reminders!!!
- Parent/Student Checklist are due as soon as possible. Until then students are NOT to use the computers until I have confirmed that they are allowed to have network access. This is HIGH priority because it also has screening, textbook and other information on it as well.
- Please follow the instructions for work orders to ensure that they are completed in an orderly manner. It is likely that I will not remember the issue you are having when we speak about it in the hallway as I am usually running from room to room, PLEASE email all issues to the work order email addresses noted above.
- Network Programs-I will let you know when network programs are up and running (Compass, Moby Max, Fast Math/Fraction Nation, etc.)
- Webpages-Please update your webpage for the current school year. New teachers I will be hosting in-service for you to create your page in the near future. Veteran teachers if you need assistance with this please email me for an appointment.
- EMAIL is for school use. Please do not send or forward jokes, political or religious emails. RCS email should not be used to sell things! Email is considered public knowledge so don't send anything that you do not want others to see. The public can request copies of your emails at any time.
- IMPORTANT-As the new year starts PLEASE remember that NO technology is to be moved out of rooms. If something is not working or you wish to discard a piece of technology please notify me via email.
