It's been a busy week! PBIS Dance Party, Incentive trip to Skating Rink and Cabarrus Creamery, Mr. Fisher's Band, Sol Fusion playing at Boardwalk Billy's, and a visit with the State Superintendent, Dr. June Atkinson.
CAREER DAY & FIELD DAY: Friday, May 6th. Students should have already received a permission slip for field day to attend. If not, please provide one to students.

MEDIA CENTER NEWS
CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK:
Monday is College day.
Tuesday is Pajama day.
Wednesday is Book Character Dress up day and Buster’s Book Swap day so send in those donated books asap.
Thursday is BHES school sprit day except for 4th grade who will dress in business attire for their field trip to JA Biz Town and 5th grade who will dress in appropriate gear as they head to the White Water Rafting Center.

The end of the year is always an exciting time in the Media Center!
Last student checkout dates: May 12th, 13th, & 16th
All library books will be collected: May 19th, 20th & 23rd.
LAST day to turn in ALL books: May 23rd.
All staff library books will be due on May 31st.
All Media Center classes are cancelled on Thursday, June 2nd, Friday, June 3rd, & Monday, June 6th in order to get the end of year inventory completed.

Student Science Enrichment Program – Award cycle will open in 2016- http://www.bwfund.org/grant-programs/science-education/student-science-enrichment-program Up to $60,000 per year for up to three years for after school/out of school hands-on scientific activities for K-12.

Wednesday, June 8th is the last day of school. We will have Kathy Wilson's retirement ceremony in the afternoon on the same day.
Thursday, June 9th is now capped by the school. Please plan to be here for our end of year staff luncheon and our cumulative folder wrap up day. We will release early based on the completion of the cumulative folders.
