Losing to Win
Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill had a life full of stressful experiences. But the the thing about him is that he never gave up. Churchill had a father who was part of the British Parliament and a mother who was an American heiress. This made Winston have an early exposure to military and encouraged him. At 12 years old Churchill began studying military tactics. He also graduated at the top of his class and was given a commission as a cavalry officer. Churchill saw lots of action in the military being shot at, captured and escaping after being a prisoner of war for over a month. When Churchill returned to England at age 25 he was a famous author and war hero. But he still wanted to make a difference in his government so he decided to join politics. He was praised on how he prepared Britain for the war but thing quickly went bad and Churchill was moved out. Little did Churchill know that this would happen many times in his future. Though he didn't know this he was always prepared for what ever situation that faced him. Today he is honored and inspires many of us to keep fighting when things go wrong.
