Tornadoes are funnel-shaped strong winds that occur in the afternoons or evenings. Do we get tornadoes in Australia? Yes we do. The last Tornado was in 2011 in Queensland in Bagara.
Waterspouts occur over water when warm air meets cooler air. It draws air up with some water from the surface. The tallest waterspout was over Australia in 1898. It reached nearly a mile in height.
