What is Toxoplasmosis?
Testing/Treatment
Treatment for toxoplasmosis can be done in a few ways. Nonpregnant women can recover with no treatment. If you're ill you can be treated with a combination of drugs that they prescribe to you. Pregnant women, infants, and newborns can also get treated but the parasite is not fully gone. It can still remain in the tissue cells. The parasite isn't able to be eliminated fully because the medication can't reach to certain locations in the body when you're pregnant.
