In The Beginning
In 1947, Dr Robert Pierce travelled to China and Korea and encountered people who regularly had to go without food, clothing, shelter or medicine. During the Korean War, he helped set up orphanages to care for children who'd been abandoned or orphaned.
In the 1970's World Vision's focus was assisting the individual childo include community development. Poor people and communities work with World Vision to improve their lives and take control of their future
When you donate 77% goes to their work to, 15.9% goes to fundraising and 7.1% goes to administration.
