- Neil in the book The ghost of gray lock hall is always brave and caring because he put himself out there because on page 35 after Neil broke his leg to save his friends! And, He does not matter what he does he'll just go out there and look for mysteries and haunted areas and is brave enough to go in there knowing he might not come out alive! And in the book they never came home I thought Larry was pretty brave himself but Larry is not very caring because on page 75, Joan which is his sister tried saving Larry and tried finding Larry and paid the money Larry stole and all Larry did was run away with Joan's boyfriend Dan! And that wasn't that appreciative. But Larry was brave but in a different kind of way, because, He was brave and risked his whole life trying to steal money and running away and That was pretty brave of him to just throw his whole life away. Both those books were mysteries and they both have the same traits to the characters at some points in time but those book traits relates a lot to a science fiction book SENT. Because, In the book SENT one of the main character's Chip was really brave, kind but at some points in time he wasn't caring because,on page 244 when he transported in his tracer he didn't care what Alex,Jonah and Katherine were saying to to him about world war two and how he was going to get hurt!!! But he still went out to the battle field and didn't care whatever they thought. But he was kind by giving kind Edward the 2nd another chance and That was nice. He also was very brave because he was willing to risk his life going out to the battle field to change the past.
- Brie on the other hand in the ghost of gray lock is sometimes selfish because On page 8, She didn't want to go to the haunted house in till Erik the cute guy came along and I thought that was pretty selfish to just do it for a cute guy. But on the other hand Joan from the book they never came home is way different in my perspective i would said Joan is thoughtful because,on page 70 to 85, She helped out Her boyfriend's mom because his mom was crying because Dan ran away to, and that was very nice of Joan to do that after Dan was mean to her about running away, and she was thoughtful to her brother because she paid of the money he stole and she worked for him well he was of doing monkey business. The book Sent in a different genre type is very similar to brie's and Joan's genre type combined because, throught out 90 to the rest of the book, Katherine is sometimes selfish like she always cares what she looks like and sometimes doesn't share her items like when she had water her brother Jonah asked for some but Katherine didn't wanna share and I thought that was rude and selfish of her. But on the other hand she is very kind because, She helped save chip from the battle fields and showed how much she cared for him and how much she loved him! And that was very kind, Generous, Sweet and out going:)

Conflict
Genre
Mystery: They never came home , the ghost of gray lock hall
Science Fiction: SENT
Science fiction and mystery are sometimes similar here is why!
Theme:Almost always the theme in mystery is bravery and risk because in my book i'm reading right now which is the ghost of gray lock the whole book sets of to a lot of bravery and risk because when Neil, Wesley, Brie and Erik all went into the hospital they didn't know if they would come out alive or if anything or anyone would follow them home and something did and I thought it was really brave of them to try fighting of the ghost when it followed them home and I also thought that it was risky lying to their aunts that they were just going for a walk. The ghost of gray lock hall, theme relates to another mystery book they never came home, why it does is because Larry was risky about making decisions and if he gets caught and also when he was smuggling illegal drugs and jewelry across the bodery that was very risky. There is a book in that category that is a different genre type but, it has the same theme and the book is called Sent, why it is bravery and risk is because, chip, jonah, katherine, alex they all would rather risk there lives for each other than seeing one of them die and I thought that was so risky and brave for what they did also they stood up for kind edward to on the battle field and that was so risky:) That's why
Setting:The setting in mystery almost always takes place in a primary and secondary setting like the book they never came home and the book the ghost of graylock hall. the primary setting in they never came home is In new mexico near the mountains. The secondary setting for they never came home is a beach community on the west coast of california, and a small mexican village. The primary setting in The ghost of gray locks is newjersey and heston. The secondary setting is in, graylock hall, inside dreams, the library and doctors office. In science fiction the books settings are not always the same. Like the book sent, the setting doesn't have a primary and secondary. It has only one setting and that the tower of london, during the 15th century. so in conclusion, Science fiction and mystery books settings are not the same!

And that was very kind, Generous, Sweet and outgoing:)
Plot: The plot of they never came home is the novel or like book starts of with dan and larry on a camping trip and then one of the first twists happens when they don't come home. So people thought someone stole them or foul play was suspected, or they ran away. meanwhile, joan which is larry's sister found out ( larry) has been smuggling jeweller and ( secretly drugs) and that larry stole money from his boss that runs the smuggling. the story closes of when joan goes to california to meet a friend at college and sees dan and larry and, larry is pushed over a broken balcony into the street below. and the plot in the ghost of graylock hall is neil and bree come from new jersey after their two parents just got a divorce. They went to move in with their aunts, They enter and abandoned insane asylum of graylock hall in the town of heston, they didn't no after they went in they would be followed. wherever they went they were being haunted by a ghost named rebecca that is seeking !! the story comes to a close when, they find out that the killer of rebecca was there dad!! after the dad finds out they know the killer his him he tries killing them. The plot of sent is, jonah, katherine, chip and alex have no preparation before, they are sent back to the 1483 at the tower of london, with a promise that they can return to the present if they can repair history, they quickly discover that chip and alexis true identities are thirteen year old king edward v and his 10 year old brother richard, the duke of york.but before chip can enjoy being kind they discover that his uncle is trying to kill him so he can be king. the kids have to try repairing time without changing it, they might not make it out alive if they change time.
Conflict:In mystery almost always the conflict is almost always Character vs. self and Character vs. Character. Also in Science fiction it is Character Vs. Character and Character vs. Self. In my recent book I read ( they never came home.), It was Character vs. Character because, Joan which is larry's sister, paid all larry's money he stole and she was thinking about him every night of what torture he could be in and she even worked of to pay his dues by smuggling! And all he did was runaway!! That book relates a little to my other mystery book i'm currently reading, which is ( The ghost of graylock hall) Has a little different conflict which is Character vs Self because,Neil is versing himself by asking him is the ghost real or not and he is getting really confused and annoyed and everyone is saying he's crazy even his best friend. And, Him and his sister are just scared and confused. Both those conflicts combined relates to one of my science fiction books ( Sent) Which In the past i've read, has two conflicts Character vs Character and Character Vs Self and here is why, In the book sent, Chip was versing himself by trying to make the right decisions if he should go out to the battlefields or if he should not and if he should seek revenge on his uncle or if he should not and EXT. Its also character Vs character because, Chip and his uncle are trying to kill each other and seek revenge on each other. That is why:) In conclusion, Not all mystery books and science books are the same.
In conclusion some genres are alike and some are not also, I love reading other genres and getting more into mystery and clues also learning more facts that I haven't learned before. Also, I think it is very cool that some genres and books can be alike and different it gets you more drawn into the book and it helps you learn a little more about the book:)
