MPE Weekly Roar

A Message From Principal Dolan
Hello MPE Families,
Thank you so much for all of your generosity! We are glad that we can donate to our community as well as neighboring communities. The student council food drive will be collecting items until December 17. Each grade is asked to bring an item. The flyer is attached to this email. We are planning to donate the LNHN (Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors.)
This is a note from the school in Newark where we donated over 200 pairs of pajamas: "We would like to take this time to thank you all for your wonderful donations. Our students and families are going to be very happy when they receive the pajamas. It was such a nice pleasure meeting you. May you all have a wonderful Holiday and thank you so much."
I am looking forward to our next community meeting and general PTA meeting on December 15th. STEAM will be discussed at the PTA meeting. During our Community Meeting, we will teach our students about empathy and helping all children feel welcome and accepted at MPE. Chocolate Milk, Por Favor! by Maria Dismondy is a great book to encourage students to celebrate diversity with empathy.
We will be having a school spirit week during the week of December 20th. Details below!
Have a great weekend!!
All my best,
Lorena Dolan
