Message from the Superintendent

Big picture

Dear Topeka Public Schools Staff and Families:

Our school leaders returned last week (pictured above) and we are all preparing for our families to return. Please remember that today is enrollment day! To ensure your school of choice is secured, we encourage you to enroll online or in person as soon as possible. You can schedule a tour or time to enroll with the principal of your child's school by contacting the school directly.

Pictured in an article below are our new Ukrainian families, who are attending the schools that host our newcomer and international students. They had an opportunity to meet their principals, enroll in school, and meet friends from Ukraine at our welcome center experience on Monday. The wrap-around support we provide families new to Topeka are focused on ensuring all families, regardless of language abilities or where they live, have a personalized experience during enrollment.

We welcome all of our school leaders back and we encourage you to review school websites to learn more about the new things occurring at their schools. We look forward to seeing all of you today at in-person enrollment or in August on the first day of school.

Dr. Tiffany Anderson

Superintendent
